Remodel Carpenter Full Time - Wichita KS

The ideal person for this remodel carpenters’ position should be well versed in multiple aspects of residential and light commercial construction. The work could include framing, exterior siding (LP Smart Siding, experience with Metal and Vinyl siding is a plus) installation of doors, windows (new and replacement), interior trim, drywall hang and finish, composite decking, tile, etc.

Desired Skill Set to include:

· Light to Moderate Framing – Wall, floor, roof

· Taking measurements and preparing the jobsite takeoffs

· Interior Trim Install a must

· Installing hardware

· Select and evaluate materials for potential defects

· Exterior siding, Building decks, roof repairs

· Installing flooring

· Light drywall/ drywall repairs

· Painting, staining and finish

· Installing Onyx shower panels

· Some Familiarity with plumbing, electrical and HVAC

This position is a manual, hands-on position and will require heavy lifting from time to time, as well as standing or moving for extended periods. A qualified Carpenter can work with power tools and bladed objects as well as various hand tools. They must be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolds if necessary. The candidate must have transportation and a valid driver’s license. Travel is limited in this role, with most of the work being performed within a 50-mile radius of the Wichita area.
